PADELBUDDY — PRIVACY POLICY Last updated: 27.02.2026 1. Who We Are PadelBuddy is a social matching application that helps padel players connect with compatible playing partners. PadelBuddy is currently operated by: Ladina Wendlik Curacaostraat 104H 1058CC Amsterdam Netherlands Email: yourpadelbuddy@gmail.com For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Ladina Wendlik acts as the data controller. Operation of PadelBuddy may later be transferred to a corporate entity. Users will be informed if such transfer occurs. 2. Scope of This Policy This Privacy Policy explains: what personal data we collect, how and why we use it, how matching and compatibility work, how long data is retained, and your rights regarding your information. 3. Information We Collect 3.1 Information You Provide When creating and using an account, you may provide: Account Information email address password (encrypted) name or username birth date city/location Profile Information profile photos padel experience information playing preferences dominant hand and preferred side playing style tags favorite shots match preferences written profile descriptions Availability Information recurring availability blocks preferred playing times Communication Data messages exchanged with matched users feedback submitted after matches reports about other users 3.2 Automatically Generated Data When using the app, certain technical data may be processed, including: account identifiers timestamps interaction events (e.g., swipes, matches) device or connection metadata necessary for service operation PadelBuddy does not currently collect precise GPS location data. 3.3 User-Generated Content Content you upload or create, including: profile photos messages feedback reports is processed to operate the platform. 4. How We Use Your Data We process personal data to: create and maintain user accounts enable matching between players calculate compatibility scores allow messaging between matched users display overlapping availability improve level reliability through feedback ensure platform safety respond to support requests comply with legal obligations 5. Compatibility Scoring & Profiling PadelBuddy uses automated logic to calculate a compatibility percentage between users. This calculation may consider: location similarity playing level experience playing style overlap preferred match types side compatibility This constitutes profiling under GDPR. Important: compatibility scores are informational only, they do not produce legal or similarly significant effects, users remain free to interact or not interact with others. No fully automated decisions preventing platform access are made solely based on profiling. 6. Messaging & Safety Monitoring Messages between matched users are stored securely in our infrastructure. PadelBuddy does not provide end-to-end encrypted messaging. Authorized operators may access messages when reasonably necessary to: investigate reports, enforce platform rules, ensure user safety, provide support. 7. International Transfers Where service providers process data outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are used. 11. Data Retention We retain data: while your account remains active, as necessary for safety and legal compliance. Inactive accounts may be deleted after extended inactivity. When an account is deleted: profile data is removed, access is revoked, remaining backups are deleted within reasonable technical cycles. 12.
